I think on one level it might be question of perception, Live Journal, MySpace, Facebook have all been criticized as the play ground for the lonely attention seeker without much to say.  But theses are expressions or more likely gesticulation at connection on the terms set by the person setting up the page.  And the Internets seems big enough to accommodate both the sensible and crazy attempts at connection so why worry?

This could be a simple rationalization for my own crapy blog, and if so I think that’s okay.  Maybe the Singularity will congeal all the crazy web pages together and come up with a better answer to life than 42, which is still my favorite.
